The UNC football program had a terrific opportunity to move to 4-0 on Saturday with a big win over a struggling Notre Dame team, but unfortunately it was another defensive struggle for the Tar Heels.
The offense, however, was still able to produce at a high level. Part of that was because of the return of star wide receiver [autotag]Josh Downs[/autotag]. Downs had missed the last two games with a knee injury.
Downs had five catches for 32 yards and two touchdowns against the Irish. But, after the game Downs said he wasn’t 100 percent but ‘was good enough to go’.
Josh Downs: "I wouldn't say I was 100 percent today, but I was good enough to go." He says he feels blessed to get out of the game feeling pretty decently in terms of his health.

Downs now has 14 catches for 110 yards and four touchdowns in his two games this season.
After making it through the game without re-injuring the knee, it looks like he should be good to go moving forward.
North Carolina gets back on the field next weekend against Virginia Tech.
