Alabama fans upset over Bill O’Brien’s play calling early against Vanderbilt

Alabama offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien catching heat after another slow start

The fans in Tuscaloosa are already quite frustrated with Bill O’Brien’s play calling in their SEC opener against Vanderbilt. The Crimson Tide offensive coordinator has been subject to a lot of criticism during his time in Tuscaloosa despite the fact that he took the Tide to a national title in his first year and produced a Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback.

O’Brien had big shoes to fill when he was replacing arguably the best play caller in the country in Steve Sarkisian. If you ask Alabama fans, he hasn’t lived up to the standard quite yet. That hasn’t stopped the rumors from swirling regarding O’Brien’s name being tossed around for a few head coaching positions.
