Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson leads the NFL in multiple categories through Week 2 of the 2022 season

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson had a historic performance on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, despite the team losing the game in the final seconds. Jackson surpassed former quarterback Michael Vick for most 100-yard rushing games by a quarterback with 11 as well as becoming the first player to pass for 300 yards, throw for three touchdowns, rush for 100 yards and have a rushing touchdown in the same game.

The Ravens found a gem in Jackson, and his playmaking ability is seen whenever the former-league MVP is on the football field. Jackson also leads the league with the longest pass and longest rush of the season, coming in the same game.

With just under 11 minutes left in the second quarter, Jackson threw a pass to wide receiver Rashad Bateman. Bateman took it to the end zone for a 75-yard touchdown. That pass became the longest of the season for any player in the NFL through Week 2.

A quarter later, Jackson rushed up the middle of the Dolphins’ defense at Baltimore’s 21-yard line. The quarterback would not be stopped and Jackson rushed into the end zone for a 79-yard touchdown. That run leads all players through Week 2.

He also leads the NFL in multiple passing categories in impressive fashion.

Jackson is in his fifth NFL season, and many know what he can do both through the air and on the ground. The former Louisville star continues to impress and improve as he looks to lead the Ravens to their first Super Bowl victory since the 2012-2013 season.
