After starting the game in a 22-0 hole, the Washington Commanders finally put points on the board on their first drive of the second half.
Quarterback Carson Wentz found rookie wide receiver Jahan Dotson for a 40-yard gain to put the Commanders in Detroit territory for the first time in the game.
Shortly after, Wentz saw wide receiver Curtis Samuel open along the left sideline and lobbed a perfect pass to Samuel for the touchdown. Samuel took a huge hit from Lions safety DeShon Elliot on the play but held onto the football to make it a 22-7 game.

Just like that, the Commanders were back in the game after such an abysmal start.
