Cleveland Browns: Myles Garrett “at an all-time high” with franchise record in sight

Myles Garrett is zeroing in on the franchise record for career sacks with the Cleveland Browns, and he seems to know it.

Myles Garrett has lived up to the hype of a first overall pick since joining the Cleveland Browns via the 2017 NFL Draft. He is now zeroing in the franchise record for career sacks, just 1.5 behind Clay Matthews Jr. As he prepares for the New York Jets, his position coach Chris Kiffin used some strong words to describe Garrett’s mindset.

“At an all-time high.”

“Locked In.”

“At a different level right now.”

The Jets are not exactly the example of a clean bill of health at the offensive tackle position either. First former first rounder Mekhi Becton went down with a season-ending injury, then veteran Duane Brown was brought in to replace him only to land on Injured Reserve.

Going against George Fant at left tackle and fourth round rookie Max Mitchell at right tackle, Garrett and the Browns pass rushers should have a day getting after the ghost of Joe Flacco.
