Janarius Robinson signs with Philadelphia Eagles

The Vikings lose one from their practice squad to their opponent on Monday

The Minnesota Vikings lost one of the players on their practice squad when Janarius Robinson signed with the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday.

After the Vikings drafted Robinson in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL draft, they had to put him on injured reserve due to injury. Once he came back into the fold, he wasn’t able to show the promise that he had coming out of Florida State.

A bigger edge rusher, Robinson was somewhat out of place with this new-look Vikings defensive scheme. A 6’4″ 265-pound pass rusher was best suited as a five-technique in a 4-3 defense, one he will be going to in Philadelphia.

This begs the question: did the Eagles sign him to the active roster because they are playing the Vikings this week? I doubt it, but you can never rule it out.

With Robinson leaving the practice squad, the Vikings are now down to 15 players on their practice squad with the room to add one more.
