The situation with Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt and his torn pec continues to take more twists and turns. Keeping in mind there has been nothing definitive released by the team, we continue to rely on information from a variety of sources and their best information.

The latest comes from ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter and supported by ESPN Steelers reporter Brooke Pryor. Schefter is reporting that Watt is planning to have a second and third opinion on his torn pec injury he suffered in Sunday’s win.

Without going too far down the rabbit hole, going after second and third opions typically means you didn’t like what you heard from the first one. This might mean Watt had surgery recommended that would end his season. Again, there’s been nothing official come from the team but we look for an update from head coach Mike Tomlin when he speaks to the media on Tuesday.
