The New Orleans Saints made sure Dennis Allen will never forget his first game as their head coach.
Trailing by 16 points in the fourth quarter, Michael Thomas caught a pair of TD passes and Wil Lutz hit a 51-yard field goal with 19 seconds left as New Orleans rocked Atlanta, 27-26.
The winning drive came took 29 seconds and covered 47 yards over 5 plays.

A pair of players who New Orleans missed in 2021 delivered for them big time as both Thomas and Smith missed the entire season due to injuries.
Lutz was far from a sure thing beyond 50 yards as he had hit on 13-of-23 from that distance prior to this opening game.
The Falcons had a chance to win the game with 2 seconds left but Younghoe Koo’s kick was blocked.
