When the Tampa Bay Buccaneers kick off their 2022 regular season Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys, they might have Pro Bowl wide receiver Chris Godwin back in the lineup.
Godwin, who is listed as questionable on the team’s latest injury report, is expected to play, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Schefter notes the Bucs “could remain cautious and slightly limit his reps in the game due to the injury.”
Godwin suffered a torn ACL in Week 15 of last season, and has been working his way back from season-ending knee surgery. He has progressed through training camp, taking part in team drills and shedding his knee brace this week, but continued to practice in an orange non-contact jersey.
Earlier in the week, Godwin himself said he expected to be a game-time decision for Sunday night.
