It was a big first quarter from Rutgers football as the Scarlet Knights got on the scoreboard with 7:52 left in the first quarter via a Kyle Monangai two-yard touchdown run. Then touchdown throws by Evan Simon, Gavin Wimsatt and Johnny Langan on their next three possessions staked Rutgers out to a 28-0 lead.
Rutgers turned the ball over once, a second quarter interception from quarterback Gavin Wimsatt. It was the only blemish on the afternoon from what was overall a clean performance from the Scarlet Knights.
