Arkansas wasted little time in jumping on South Carolina in the teams’ SEC opener on Saturday.
The Razorbacks scored on their first touchdown after the Gamecocks’ game-opening drive stalled out in Arkansas territory. The Hogs’ beneficiary was not a surprise, even if it was his first score of the year.
Rocket Sanders, a week after running for his second career 100-yard game, went in from a yard just two plays after coach Sam Pittman chose to have the Razorbacks go for it on 4th-and-1 from the 3. Arkansas took a 7-0 lead with 6:42 left in the first quarter.
Sanders had five scores last year, but after that season and last week’s game against Cincinnati, he’s a fan favorite.
