The Wyoming Cowboys (1-1) welcome the Northern Colorado Bears (0-1) to War Memorial Stadium Saturday. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook‘s lines around the Northern Colorado at Wyoming odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.
Wyoming is entering this matchup with a win on the season, but it was brutally beaten down by Illinois in its opener, losing 38-6. It did win over AAC side Tulsa 40-37 in its 2nd game.
The Cowboys are led by redshirt junior QB Andrew Peasley, who transferred from Utah State. He threw for over 250 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Hurricanes.
As for Northern Colorado, it lost to Houston Baptist 46-34. Despite having a 20-point fourth quarter and 7-6 lead at the end of the first, the Bears still struggled to keep up.
They were led by both QB Jacob Sirmon and QB Dylan McCaffrey, each of which threw for over 175 yards and 2 touchdowns. Northern Colorado will be heavy underdogs.

Northern Colorado at Wyoming picks and predictions
Prediction
Wyoming 38, Northern Colorado 17
Money line
PASS.
There’s just no value. Upsets happen, but I wouldn’t bank on one here.
Against the spread
BET NORTHERN COLORADO +24.5 (-112).
Wyoming was crushed by Illinois and then went to overtime with Tulsa. It hasn’t necessarily had quality showings. Northern Colorado can’t say the same, but it does have some talent on the roster.
One of their two used quarterbacks, McCaffrey, was a four-star recruit that transferred to UNC to play for his father, who is the head coach of the Bears. His talent may be able to keep this game within 4 scores.
Their starting RB Elijah Dotson is also a graduate transfer, so the Bears, despite struggling to open the season, do have experience and talent on their roster.
Also, Wyoming didn’t have many big-time wins last season, not beating either the Independent (UConn) or FCS (Montana State) by more than 3 scores.
Wyoming hasn’t beaten a Sun Belt team by 24 or more since Texas State in 2017 (having played 2 other Sun Belt teams since then).
Over/Under
LEAN OVER 46.5 (-115).
The Bears didn’t play an efficient game and still put up 34 points. The Cowboys can say the same as they put up 40 points on the Hurricanes without having a player rush for over 45 yards.
With McCaffrey and a lacking defense, the Bears are certainly likely to get some garbage time scores as well.
The Cowboys would’ve barely missed this total in their opener but should be in control for most of this game, and without a strong run game, they could opt to keep the pass game hot and blow out the Bears at home.
Combine both teams’ hot offense in their last game, and I’d preferably play the OVER 46.5 (-115) here.
