Notre Dame getting All-American back for Marshall game

What are your expectations for this offensive line by say, the first weekend in November?

Notre Dame had what will likely end up being their toughest regular season test in their Week 1 loss at Ohio State and the biggest story for the Irish afterwards was how much their offensive line struggled.  The opponent this week isn’t anywhere near the same in terms of talent as Marshall awaits in the 2022 home opener Saturday, but Notre Dame will be getting All-American interior offensive lineman Jarrett Patterson back.

Patterson, a graduate student, missed the Ohio State game with an injured foot but Marcus Freeman met the media on Thursday and stated that Patterson has practiced all week and the expectation is for him to play Saturday.

It won’t be easy to necessarily gauge the difference Patterson makes simply because of the level of competition, but for this offensive line to be ticking the time BYU and Clemson show up on the schedule, the more reps together for the top-unit the better.
