There are a lot of players Rams fans are excited to watch tonight against the Bills. Allen Robinson, Bobby Wagner, Aaron Donald, Cooper Kupp, Jalen Ramsey. The list never seems to end.
But one player who is suddenly getting some attention is rookie running back Kyren Williams. He’s seemingly a guy to watch not only tonight, but as the season progresses – which seems odd considering both Cam Akers and Darrell Henderson Jr. are healthy and ready to roll.
On ESPN’s “Get Up” Thursday, Adam Schefter name-dropped Williams as someone fans should watch against the Bills, picking him as a guy to monitor for fantasy purposes.
“There’s a guy tonight that I would watch. We haven’t heard much about him at all this summer and we’ll see how much he factors in tonight. But the Rams have a rookie running back, Kyren Williams, that I think is worth watching tonight,” Schefter said. “Former draft pick from Notre Dame, someone that could figure in tonight, could figure in this season. Someone to monitor for fantasy teams I think going forward. And it’s somebody that the Rams like. He showed some things this summer. Sean McVay after the last preseason game talked about the fact that he was somebody that could contribute this year.”
Williams is penciled in as the No. 3 running back on the depth chart, behind Akers and Henderson, and ahead of Jake Funk. There doesn’t seem to be much room for him to get the football unless Akers or Henderson gets hurt, but perhaps Schefter knows something.
Peter Schrager might, too. Schrager, who’s friends with Sean McVay, made a prediction on “Good Morning Football” that Williams will make a game-changing play in the fourth quarter against the Bills.
Now, it was part of a bold prediction segment, but that was certainly unexpected.

He was apparently getting some love on “NFL Now”, too. That’s three separate shows where a fifth-round rookie was mentioned by analysts, which is not something to ignore.
Kyren Williams love on NFL Now right now 👀🔥

Williams is going to score the game-winning touchdown with 2 minutes left in the fourth quarter tonight, just as we all though.
