Here are the details of Rob Havenstein’s $34.5M extension with the Rams

Rob Havenstein is now the 6th-highest paid RT in the NFL after earning a $34.5 million extension

Rob Havenstein earned himself a nice raise right before the Rams’ first game of the season, agreeing to a three-year extension with Los Angeles. Details of the contract have since been reported, and it makes Havenstein one of the richest tackles in the league.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Havenstein’s deal is worth $34.5 million and includes $24.1 million guaranteed. Havenstein can earn an additional $6 million in incentives.

He’s now the sixth-highest paid right tackle in the NFL, a well-earned payday for the Rams’ longest-tenured lineman.

We don’t yet know how Havenstein’s contract impacts the salary cap, but it could potentially free up some space this year if the Rams backloaded the deal.

Havenstein has played and started 99 games for the Rams in his career since being a second-round pick in 2015. He’s become one of the best right tackles in the league, despite never earning Pro Bowl or All-Pro honors.

He’s a captain for the first time this year, helping replace Andrew Whitworth as a leader in the offensive line room.
