Wednesday began game prep for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh is taking on the high-powered Cincinnnati Bengals offense this week but might have to do so without starting wide receiver Diontae Johnson. Johnson was limited at Wednesday’s practice and his availability on Sunday will depend on his ability to practice.

After practice, Johnson was candid about his effort to get through practice, highlighting the fact that she is trying evven if he didn’t seem terribly optimisitc.

“I tried to do everything I could, what my arm will allow me to do,” Johnson said. “I’m doing everything I can literally to try to get back to the guys this Sunday. I’m taking it one day at a time. We gonna see where it goes.”

If Johnson cannot go, the Steelers will have some decisions to make at wide receiver. Rookie George Pickens could slide outside and the Steelers could rotate guys like Gunner Olszewski and Miles Boykin in the slot.
