Colts’ practice squad heading into Week 1

Here is a look at the initial practice squad for the Colts heading into Week 1.

The Indianapolis Colts are preparing for their Week 1 matchup against the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium.

The majority of the spots on the practice squad have already been filled. While technically, the Colts signed 16 players to fill the squad, defensive back Marcel Dabo doesn’t count against the player limit as he’s a part of the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program.

So the Colts essentially have one extra spot to fill on the practice squad if they choose to do so. We’ll update this post if and when that move is made.

Update: The Colts added running back Phillip Lindsay as the final piece to the practice squad.
