Story update: The Broncos are signing receiver Vyncint Smith, who will fill the 16th and final spot on the team’s practice squad. See our original post below.
After losing wide receiver Seth Williams to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Denver Broncos still have one open spot remaining on their 16-player practice squad for the 2022 NFL season.
Last week, the Broncos waived cornerback Essang Bassey to make room for veteran cornerback Darius Phillips on the 53-man roster. After Bassey cleared waivers, Denver re-signed him as the team’s 15th practice squad addition.
Here’s how the squad looks as the team begins preparing for Week 1:
1. QB Josh Johnson
2. RB Devine Ozigbo
3. OL Netane Muti
4. OL Quinn Bailey
5. OT Will Sherman
6. TE TE Dylan Parham
7. WR Kendall Hinton
8. WR Darrius Shepherd
9. DL McTelvin Agim
10. DL Jonathan Harris
11. OLB Jonathan Kongbo
12. ILB Kana’i Mauga
13. CB JaQuan McMillian
14. CB Faion Hicks
15. CB Essang Bassey
16. TBD
Players can be elevated from the practice squad to the game day roster up to three times during the season without having to clear waivers to return to the practice squad after the game.
