The Tigers are the betting favorite in Sunday’s season-opener against the Florida State Seminoles, but the folks in Vegas aren’t the only ones who like LSU to get the win in coach Brian Kelly’s debut.
During ESPN’s College GameDay broadcast on Saturday, the guest picker was rapper Jack Harlow. Hosts Lee Corso and Desmond Howard picked FSU, but Harlow joined with Kirk Herbstreit in picking the Tigers.
His justification didn’t have much to do with what’s going to happen on the field, but rather who Harlow has been kicking it with.
“I was with [autotag]Joe Burrow[/autotag] last night, so I’m rocking with LSU,” Harlow told the GameDay crew.
I like the logic behind the #LSU pick.

Harlow was in Columbus for GameDay, and he must have linked up with Burrow while in Ohio. It’s a not-so-subtle flex, but let’s be real. Who wouldn’t brag about hanging out with Joe Cool?
It may not be the most informed prediction, but here’s some food for thought: Harlow went 6-2 in his picks for Saturday’s games. Perhaps there’s a method to the madness.
The Tigers will hope his prediction rings true when they begin Kelly’s tenure in what should be a friendly crowd at the Superdome.
