Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa practices alone in empty stadium to perfect new playbook

Tua is taking every opportunity possible to get ready for the 2022 season.

Former Alabama star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has not had an easy transition into the NFL. As he heads into his third season with the team that drafted him No. 5 overall in the 2020 NFL draft, the Miami Dolphins, he still faces heavy criticism and doubt from fans and pundits.

With new head coach Mike McDaniel at the helm, the Dolphins offense is expected to undergo big-time changes. McDaniel is often praised as an offensive guru.

Ahead of Miami’s second preseason game of 2022, Tagovailoa was spotted in an empty Hard Rock Stadium alone on the field. He had what appeared to be plays written down on a card that he was running through.

Former Heisman-winning quarterback, Robert Griffin III, who now broadcasts for the NFL, took notice and spoke on what this means for the Dolphins and Tagovailoa.

“This is great to see. He’s out here trying to visualize, see where receivers are going to be, get his footwork down, and doing it in the peace and quiet of Hard Rock Stadium.”

Roll Tide Wire will continue to cover Tagovailoa and other former Alabama stars in the NFL as the 2022 regular season approaches.
