Furious Guardians catcher Austin Hedges demands MLB apologizes for ’embarrassing’ call

Come on, MLB. This rule is horrible.

If you’ve been watching Major League Baseball lately then you might have noticed how they’re calling a lot more blocking the plate calls on catchers. It seems like every day there is a new call that doesn’t seem to make sense and leaves fans and players scratching their heads.

There was another one of those calls last night in the Tigers-Guardians game and it had Cleveland catcher Austin Hedges calling for MLB to apologize to his pitcher for the “embarrassing” call that led to Detroit taking a big early lead and changed the shape the game.
