Pieces of the Golden State Warriors 2022-23 schedule are beginning to be puzzled together. After reports have indicated that the Warriors will receive their ring and open the season against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers, the highly anticipated Christmas Day matchup is the next part of their schedule to drop.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Warriors will host the Memphis Grizzlies at San Francisco’s Chase Center on Christmas Day for a rematch of their heated playoff series from last postseason.

A budding rival is beginning between Ja Morant’s Grizzlies and the Warriors following a fierce playoff in the second round of the Western Conference postseason.

The series featured an ejection from Draymond Green and Dillon Brooks, injuries to Ja Morant and Gary Payton II, along with a night-night celebration from Steph Curry. After Morant’s injury in Game 3, the No. 2 seed Grizzlies had to face the Warriors without their All-Star point guard for the remainder of the series.
The Warriors eliminated the Grizzlies in six games to advance to the Western Conference finals against the Dallas Mavericks. Since the playoffs, members of the Grizzlies and Warriors have fueled their battle with different jabs on social media.
On Christmas, the Grizzlies will get their rematch against the defending champs.
