The pursuit for five-star small forward[autotag] Jason Asemota[/autotag] continues on for Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program. And it sounds like the Tar Heels are among the teams recruiting him the hardest.
The 2024 prospect recently did an exclusive interview with Circuit Scouting to talk about his recruitment, one in which he has a total of 22 offers. He’s drawing interest from UNC as well as other programs including Oregon, Arizona State, Memphis, Florida, Baylor, and Illinois among others. But which programs are standing out the most?
Asemota talked about that and it appears as if UNC is a team that is recruiting him the hardest at this stage of his recruitment:
Out of all the schools that are recruiting you, are there some schools that stick out and reach out to you more often?
Jason Asemota: “Yeah definitely, Baylor right now for sure they are one of the schools recruiting me there hardest. Oregon is up there too as well as North Carolina.”
Jason Asemota: North Carolina – “Coach Sean May is definitely on me about my shot making abilities. They love to shoot the ball at North Carolina. They really also like my rebounding and my defensive abilities.”
The 6-foot-8, 190-pound Asemota is ranked No. 16 overall, the No. 6 small forward and No. 2 player in the state of Arizona per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
He’s taking a visit to Baylor on August 26th and was on UNC’s campus back in June. He’s a prospect to watch moving forward in the 2024 class.
