According to reports, Cameron Smith is heading to LIV Golf on a $100 million deal, a deal that he didn’t want to talk about at all during his press conference earlier this week before the first event of the PGA Tour FedEx Cup Playoffs.
With the British Open champ likely bolting the Tour for the Saudi-funded exhibition league, you’d think that things might be awkward for Smith during his playoff run. You know, since he’s likely ditching these guys for the land of 54-hole tournaments with no cuts and shotgun starts.
Well, today he is paired with world No. 1 player Scottie Scheffler and it sure seemed like Scheffler sent a message to him early by walking through Smith’s line on the green.

Did Scheffler do that by accident? I mean, he could have but you don’t normally see pros do that at all, even by accident. But yeah, it could have totally been an accident.
Was that a shot at Smith for leaving the PGA Tour? I could see how some would think that, absolutely.
Either way, Twitter had reactions.
