It’s a sad week for superhero fans and strategy enthusiasts alike, as Marvel’s Midnight Suns probably isn’t coming out this year anymore.
On Monday, publisher 2K Games and developer Firaxis announced that Marvel’s Midnight Suns has been delayed.
“After discussion with the team, we’ve made the decision to move back the launch timing of Marvel’s Midnight Suns to ensure we are delivering the best possible experience for our fans,” Firaxis said on Twitter. “The title will launch later this fiscal year on Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. The Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch versions will follow at a later date.”
There’s no new launch date yet, but it should arrive sometime before March 31, 2023, since that’s when the fiscal year window ends.

That final disclaimer regarding the last-generation consoles and Nintendo Switch is particularly noteworthy. By this point, the PS4 and Xbox One are almost ten years old, so getting the game running on aging hardware is likely tremendously tricky. That’s putting it lightly, too.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns already had a lengthy delay last fall, so this isn’t anything new. We’ve still seen nothing from this title besides a slick trailer for earlier this summer.
