Chiefs injury, absence updates from Day 12 of training camp

#Chiefs second-year DB Zayne Anderson left practice early with an injury. More injury and absence update news here:

The Kansas City Chiefs held their twelfth training camp practice on Tuesday at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Only one player remains on the active/PUP list in Kansas City as CB Rashad Fenton (Shoulder) officially came off of the list on Tuesday and practiced with the team. Remember, the Chiefs don’t need to clear roster space for Fenton. OT Lucas Niang (Knee) is the last player on the list and he could remain on the list through training camp and into the season.

TE Jody Fortson (quad) has missed eight practice sessions since he suffered his injury. WR Gary Jennings (concussion) and DT Taylor Stallworth (knee contusion) are both still absent from practice. This is the fifth practice that Jennings has missed and the fourth practice missed by Stallworth. Daurice Fountain (Groin) missed his second consecutive practice on Tuesday.

As for injuries during the course of practice, Chiefs DB Zayne Anderson left the practice field after individual drills and was carted up the hill in the front seat. After practice, team public relations representatives said that Anderson suffered a shoulder injury.
