Pitcher Camden Sewell will return to play for Tennessee in 2023.
“Rocky Top, one more ride,” Sewell announced Tuesday.
He appeared in 26 games and made one start for Tennessee in 2022. His one start came against Florida in the SEC Tournament championship games, pitching five scoreless innings and earned a win.
Sewell was also credited with a victory in the Vols’ tournament opening victory against Vanderbilt. He pitched 1.1 innings of scoreless relief.
Sewell (7-1) recorded 42 strikeouts in 50 innings pitched in 2022.
The Vols (57-9) won the Southeastern Conference East division, the SEC regular season and tournament championship last season. Tennessee advanced to super regional play.
