WATCH: WR Chris Moore makes one-handed catch at Texans training camp

Houston Texans receiver Chris Moore had an outstanding one-handed grab on the fourth day of training camp.

Receiver Chris Moore finds ways to stick around.

The former Baltimore Ravens 2016 fourth-round pick produced a career-high 21 catches for 227 yards and two touchdowns with the Houston Texans last season. The 6-1, 200-pound wideout started in one of his 12 games played.

As the Texans decided to keep Moore on the roster heading into 2022, he has gotten more work in with second-year quarterback Davis Mills, who has the decks cleared to be the new starting quarterback.

In practice on Tuesday, Moore hauled in a one-handed grab in video shot by “Houston Football Show” cohost Jayson Braddock.

Mills praised Moore for his work ethic when meeting with reporters on Aug. 1.

“Yeah, I mean, I think Chris is one of the hardest workers we have on the team,” said Mills. “He comes in puts his head down and gets to work. When he’s running routes, everything is consistent, and he’s just one of those players when you’re out there you know where he’s going to be, and you know when he’s going to get there, so we’re able to stay on the same time, and he has really good hands, so we trust him a lot.”

The Texans have reliable receivers in Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins, and Moore appears to be aiming to be a part of the number Mills can count on.
