Buffs picked last in Pac-12 preseason media poll

The Pac-12 preseason media poll was released and it didn’t look great for the Buffs

This isn’t what anybody wanted to read, but it is the reality.

With the college football season right around the corner, the Pac-12 preseason media poll came out, and unfortunately, the Colorado Buffaloes were picked to finish last. There isn’t much outside optimism for Karl Dorrell’s team this season.

  7. Washington State (177)
  8. Stanford (159)
  9. California (154)
  10. Arizona State (123)

  12. Colorado (58)

Utah earned a whopping 26 first-place votes, and the defending Pac-12 champions will look to repeat this season.

For the Buffs, this was the expectation before anyways. They lost a lot of players to the transfer portal, although they did land some decent talent in the portal, with Baylor WR RJ Sneed as one of the more notable names.

It won’t be easy for Colorado, and Karl Dorrell’s seat isn’t too warm yet, at least according to Jon Wilner. It’s a tough conference to be in, and the good news is that the class of 2023 already has a number of high-profile commits.

Still, you never know what happens on any given week. Maybe the Buffs go out there and shock the world.
