Jon Scheyer, Duke offer UNC basketball recruiting target

The Duke Basketball program has officially offered this four-star center that is a top UNC target in the 2024 class.

Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program got involved with four-star center James Brown, offering him earlier this month. The Chicago native’s recruitment is heating up and Brown is starting to take a step forward in his game as well.

And now, another team is getting involved.

UNC’s rival, Duke, has officially offered the talented recruit as they are now in the race to land him. Brown announced on Twitter Friday that he has received an offer from head coach Jon Scheyer and Duke, the latest team to offer him here this Summer:

The 6-foot-9, 210-pound center out of Chicago is ranked No. 27 overall, the No. 5 center and the No. 1 player in Illinois per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.

Brown now has a total of 26 offers as he enters his junior year at St. Rita High School in Chicago. He recently played on the AAU circuit with Mean Streets out of Chicago.
