Pittsburgh’s Carter Warren discusses Vols as biggest pass rush challenge in 2022

Carter Warren discusses the Vols being Pittsburgh’s biggest pass rush challenge in 2022.

The 2022 ACC Football Kickoff took place July 20-21 at The Westin Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Pittsburgh redshirt senior offensive lineman Carter Warren represented the Panthers at the ACC Football Kickoff.

Carter was asked which team he thinks will offer the biggest challenge in terms of a pass rush this season.

“Overall this season I would say Tennessee,” Warren said. “They’ve got a great group. I feel like last year I held my own. I did my thing. I know they’re going to come back this year ready to go. Yeah, I’m looking forward to seeing them play.”

The 6-foot-5, 325-pound Warren has appeared in 32 games for Pittsburgh from 2019-21. He redshirted and did not play in 2017.

Warren started 13 games for the Panthers in 2019 after not playing during the 2018 campaign. He played nine games in 2020, while starting 14 contests at left tackle during Pittsburgh’s 2021 ACC championship season.

Pittsburgh defeated Tennessee, 41-34, on Sept. 11, 2021 at Neyland Stadium. The Panthers will host Tennessee Sept. 10 at Acrisure Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 3:30 p.m. EDT and ABC will televise the Johnny Majors Classic.
