Unlike her father, Jeanie Buss does not consider herself much of a poker player. No surprise then that she has spent most of her time here this week in meetings instead of casinos. Buss, the team’s controlling governor, has plenty to address. The Lakers missed the playoffs last season, only two seasons after winning their 17th NBA title. “We still have work to do. We’re not done,” Buss told NBA.com. “Until training camp starts, we’re not going to rest until we’re satisfied that we have the best chance for success.”
