Everyone is still positively buzzing over TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge. Rightfully so, since the arcade brawler throwback does nostalgia right, and that success is translating into big-time sales numbers too.
On Wednesday, publisher Dotemu announced TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge has sold more than a million units worldwide. It’s quite an impressive feat considering the game came out less than a month ago, and beat ’em ups aren’t exactly popular these days.
“Working on TMNT was the challenge of a lifetime and everything became possible thanks to Nickelodeon and the incredible work of Tribute Games,” Dotemu said on Twitter. “We can’t thank you enough for your everlasting support.”
TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge also won the ‘best game of June 2022’ on the PlayStation Blog. So yeah, the hits keep coming for Michelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo, and Raphael.

There’s no questioning how passionate everyone working on TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge was. Tribute Games brought the 1987 voice cast back, made Splinter and April O’Neil playable, and stuffed in as many classic references as possible for long-time fans. It was a labor of love.
You can pick up TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. It’s also available via backward compatibility on Xbox Series X|S and PS5.
