2023 three-star defensive end prospect Ashley Williams Jr. has committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, according to Nick Harris of Rivals.com.
247 Sports ranks Williams 34th overall among edge rushers in the 2023 class.
Last season, Williams posted 89 tackles and 14 sacks at Zachary High School in Zachary, Louisiana.
Williams is the second 2023 prospect that the Cornhuskers have landed in the state of Louisiana. On July 5, four-star wide receiver Omarion Miller from North Caddo High School in Vivian, Louisiana committed to Nebraska.
The Cornhuskers could add another 2023 edge rusher soon. On July 8, IMG Academy’s Cameron Lenhardt named the Cornhuskers as one of his three finalists.
Lenhardt is a four-star prospect. 247 Sports ranked him as the 28th-best edge rusher in his class.
