Breaking down Alabama’s two-deep defensive depth chart ahead of summer practice

Roll Tide Wire takes a look at the two-deep defensive depth chart heading into summer practice.

Alabama’s defense was one of the best in college football last season. The Tide will return seven starters from a season ago. The only players that elected to enter the NFL draft were Christian Harris, Josh Jobe, Jalyn Armour-Davis, Christopher Allen and Phidarian Mathis.

Some key returning players for this season are Will Anderson Jr., DJ Dale, Henry To’o’to’o and Jordan Battle. This season the secondary should be stronger with LSU transfer Eli Ricks coming in. He was a starter on the Tigers’ defense.

The defensive line has plenty of depth and is set to perform at an elite level in 2022. The Tide returns two of the best pass rushers in the country in Dallas Turner and Will Anderson Jr. They will be key players to any success that the defense sees this upcoming season. The defense seems to be the focal point heading into the season. We will have to wait and see how things pan out.

Today, Roll Tide Wire breaks down the two-deep depth chart at each position as summer practice approaches.
