Brady (15-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC), an undefeated rising star in the welterweight division, is slated to meet high-ranked contender Muhammad (21-3 MMA, 12-3 UFC) in the UFC’s return to Abu Dhabi on Oct. 22.

MMA Junkie verified that verbal agreements are in place for the bout following an initial report on Friday from Twitter user Full Violence.

Brady, 29, has put together an unblemished record through five octagon appearances. He’s coming off a submission win over Michael Chiesa in his most recent outing. He’s since spent weeks going after Muhammad on social media to get this fight, and now his wish comes true.

Muhammad, 33, has gone unbeaten in his past seven fights. He’s on a strong run of results, having outworked Vicente Luque, Stephen Thompson, and Demian Maia to decisions in his past three fights. Prior to a no contest result against upcoming title challenger Leon Edwards, Muhammad won four straight, besting Curtis Millender, Takashi Sato, Lyman Good, and Dhiego Lima.

There are currently no other bouts confirmed for the event on Oct. 22.
