Breaking down Alabama’s two-deep offensive depth chart ahead of summer practice

Roll Tide Wire previews Alabama’s two-deep depth chart at each position heading into summer practice.

Alabama lost several key weapons from the 2021 offense. Jameson Williams, John Metchie III, Brian Robinson Jr., Evan Neal and Slade Bolden all found their way to the NFL. Who will step up in their spot for the 2022 season?

Last season, we saw Ja’Corey Brooks, Seth McLaughlin, and Trey Sanders fill in when the stakes were high. That depth could potentially be even deeper in 2022 with the Tide having brought in the No. 2 overall recruiting class, according to 247Sports rankings.

If there are any qualms about Alabama’s offense, it has proven to be the offensive line in recent years. Whether it be due to injury or an issue with an individual’s blocking abilities, the coaching staff hasn’t been able to solidify an entire starting rotation of linemen. Last season, several linemen found themselves as starters at certain points in the season as a result of injury or a simple change up front.

Regardless, Alabama has the playmakers on the perimeter, as well as in the backfield besides last season’s Heisman winner Bryce Young. Now, after a disappointing finish to last season, the Tide will look to avenge themselves. Today, Roll Tide Wire will break down the offense and the two-deep depth chart at each position with summer practice right around the corner.
