Report: Zach LaVine agrees to five-year, $215.2M max deal with Bulls

Chicago resigns their two-time All-Star to a max contract.

It didn’t take long for Zach LaVine to strike a deal.

On Friday, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported that LaVine agreed to a five-year max deal to return to Chicago.

The deal is worth $215.2 million with a player option in the final year.

It had been long expected that LaVine would resign with the Bulls but nothing it sure until pen is put to paper. The return of LaVine, alongside DeMar DeRozan and company keeps Chicago in the middle of the pack in the Eastern Conference, but will need another move or two to become a true contender.

Last season, LaVine averaged 24.4 points, 4.5 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game, despite dealing with numerous injuries and being place in the health and safety protocols.
