Tenenssee’s Angus Pence records one hit for Forest City.

Tennessee’s Angus Pence went 1-for-4 for Forest City in its 13-1 Coastal Plain League victory against the Macon Bacon Thursday.

Pence, who redshirted at Tennessee in 2022, started at second base Thursday.

In 18 games with Forest City (12-16), Pence has recorded a .238 batting average, totaling 15 hits, four doubles, six runs and eight RBIs.

He has six hits in his last six games for the Owls.

Pence came to the Vols from Farragut High School (Farragut, Tennessee). He earned all-district honors for the Admirals, who won the TSSAA Division 1 Class 3A state championship in 2019.

Pence, a shortstop for the Admirals, has played second base, third base and shortstop for Forest City.

Forest City plays at Lexington County (10-16) Friday at 7:05 p.m. EDT.
