Rankings and college football go together like peanut butter and jelly.
For over 80 years the AP Poll has ranked the top teams in college football as the original list began way back in October of 1936 as Minnesota was actually the first team to ever be ranked number-one.
In the 85 years of the poll, 44 different programs have been able to lay claim to being number-one at one point or another. Some have for literally years while others have just a time or two.
