Justin Thomas won the PGA Championship last month for his second career major victory and made the cut this week at a very difficult U.S. Open setup at The Country Club in Brookline, Ma.
The No. 5 golfer in the world is a very recognizable person in the game but when he stepped to the first tee to start his third round on Saturday he heard the USGA’s official starter call him by the wrong name.
Whoops!
Thomas was about to hit his first tee shot when he heard “From Lexington, Kentucky – Justin Thompson!”
