Former University of Tennessee basketball player Grant Williams and the Boston Celtics saw its 2021-22 season come to an end Wednesday in game No. 6 of the NBA Finals.
Golden State won the NBA championship with a 103-90 victory over the Celtics at TD Garden in Boston.
The Warriors won the best-of-7 championship series, 4-2.
Williams, a third-year forward for the Celtics, appeared off the bench Wednesday and played 16 minutes.
He had three points, one rebound, one assist and one block.
Williams was 1-for-2 from the floor, 0-for-1 from beyond the 3-point arc and 1-for-1 from the free throw line.
Williams, a two-time SEC Player of the Year for the Volunteers, was a first-round selection in the 2019 NBA draft.
