With All-Pac-12 honorable mention punter Josh Watts now in the transfer portal, the Colorado Buffaloes will need to fill that ever-important role this preseason camp.
It’s likely incoming freshman Ashton Logan’s position to lose, but the Buffs added an extra leg on Wednesday in San Jose, California product Trent Carrizosa. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound 2022 punter will join the program later this summer as a preferred walk-on, per Justin Guerriero of CU Sports Nation.
Chris Sailer Kicking, an elite recruiting camp, helped develop Carrizosa and ranked him 12th out of 174 class 2022 punters.
Carrizosa, along with fellow walk-on Noah Hubbard, should give the Buffs some great talent behind Logan, if that’s indeed how the depth chart plays out.
