The 2022 campaign was Tony Vitello’s fifth season as the Vols’ head coach.
Vitello was hired as Tennessee’s head baseball coach on June 7, 2017.
He came to Tennessee after serving as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Arkansas from 2014-17.
Before arriving at Arkansas, Vitello served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at TCU (2011-13) and Missouri (2004-10). He was a volunteer assistant at Missouri in 2003 after serving as an associate coach for the Salinas Packers (2002).
Vitello played at Missouri (2000-02) and was a three-year letterwinner.
Below are photos during Tennessee’s 2022 season. Tennessee finished the season 57-9 and appeared in the NCAA Tournament Super Regional. The Vols won the SEC East division, the SEC regular season championship and the SEC Tournament title.
