Marquise Brown expected to breakout for the Arizona Cardinals in 2022

CardsWire is predicting that Marquise Brown will experience a breakout season for the Arizona Cardinals in 2022.

Marquise Brown’s NFL career didn’t get off to the smoothest start with the run-heavy Baltimore Ravens, but he still found a way to be productive in limited opportunities. But that didn’t stop him from requesting a trade and the Ravens obliged, reuniting him with former Oklahoma Sooners running buddy Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals.

Over at the Touchdown Wire, they got analysts from each of the NFL Wire sites to select a breakout player from the team they cover and Jess Root of Cards Wire believes Hollywood is going to experience a breakout season with the Cardinals.

The Cardinals made the move to get Brown on draft night, pairing him with his old college buddy, Kyler Murray. He cleared 1,000 yards in 2021 in a run-heavy offense and injuries at quarterback. Now, he plays in a receiver-friendly offense with a ton of weapons with a quarterback he already has tons of chemistry with. With DeAndre Hopkins suspended the first six games of 2022, Brown and his speed will likely be a popular target for Murray.  – Jess Root, Cards Wire

With Murray, Brown has a quarterback who can push the ball downfield and take advantage of Brown’s best skillset, his speed. While the intention was for Murray to be the WR2 for the Cardinals, with the suspension to Hopkins, Brown will be relied upon to take the lead for a Cardinals passing attack that will have a tough task in keeping up with the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams and the rising San Francisco 49ers.

Brown’s speed will open up things underneath in the passing game and give the Murray and opportunity to use his elite elusiveness and gain ground on the field.
