Awak Kuier of the Dallas Wings has a tradition of throwing down dunks during the layup lines prior to tipoff. You’ve seen the videos before. To close out the pregame warmups, Kuier takes off through the air and skies for a one-handed jam as her teammates gather around and jump in unison to punctuate Kuier’s dunk.
Well, Kuier just one-upped herself. She took what she does in the layup lines and applied it in-game.
Not long after checking in during the first quarter of the Wings’ Friday night matchup with the Seattle Storm, Kuier jumped the passing lane, stole a pass from Sue Bird, intended for Breanna Stewart, and got out in transition.
The rest is history.
OMG! 😲
