Watch Adam Thielen make beautiful one-handed catch look easy

Another beauty from Thielen

Who needs two hands when you’re good enough to make routine catches with one? That’s a perfect question for Minnesota Vikings receiver Adam Thielen, who was up to his old tricks on the practice field on Tuesday.

There was plenty of buzz coming out of organized team activities last week after he hauled in the twisting one-handed touchdown catch in 7-on-7 drills.

Well, this time around the venue was mandatory minicamp with the Vikings offense still locked into battle with the defense. During a simulated two-minute drill with the score tied at 17 and 20 seconds left on the clock, Thielen snagged a sideline pass from quarterback Kirk Cousins in an effort to get the team closer into scoring position before the half.

There has been a lot of talk about the future at receiver when Thielen is clearly still the present, despite turning 32 years old in August.

It’s a nightmare for opposing defenses in coverage against an offense with two players capable of making the sort of circus catches that keep the chains moving.

Obviously on the other end, Justin Jefferson is one of the best receivers in the game right now. And yet, he could command so much attention that consistently creates winnable one-on-one matchups for the two-time Pro Bowler, Thielen.

It’s an embarrassment of riches the Vikings need to take advantage of this season.
