Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy left Monday’s practice and said his groin was bothering him before going into the team’s facility, according to KOA Radio’s Brandon Krisztal.
Broncos coach Nathaniel Hackett didn’t seem overly concerned about the injury after practice.
“We were just being a little precautionary,” Hackett said. “He had a little tweak, so we’re going to make sure that he’s good for minicamp.”
Denver will hold a mandatory minicamp next week (June 13-15) after wrapping up organized team activities later this week. Hackett was noncommittal when asked to clarify if Jeudy will be back on the field next week.
“We’re going to play it by ear,” the coach said. “It just happened. It happened kind of early in practice, so I have to go find out more. We’re going to do some more tests, and we’ll see where we’re at.”
Depending on the severity of the injury, the Broncos might opt to hold Jeudy out until training camp (late July) as a precaution. We should know more next week.
