Savion Herring announced his commitment to Tennessee Thursday.
The 6-foot-5, 310-pound sophomore offensive lineman is from Monroe College in New York, New York.
Herring appeared in five games for Monroe in 2021.
He played at Irvington High School in Irvington, New Jersey.
“This process wasn’t easy, but I made the best choice for me,” Herring announced. “I want to thank my Irvington family for being in my corner even after me moving on to JUCO, they showed what the word family really means.”
The Vols will kick off its 2022 season Sept. 1 against Ball State at Neyland Stadium under second-year head coach Josh Heupel.
