New England Patriots midwest area scout D.J. Debick has left the team to join the Houston Texans, as pointed out by Neil Stratton of InsideTheLeague.
Debick joined the Patriots in 2016 as a scouting assistant, working with both the college and pro personnel departments. He was promoted to the midwest area scout in 2018 and was the longest-tenured area scout.
Debick will now be the assistant director of pro scouting with the Texans and he’ll join a front office that is led by Nick Caserio. Both Debick and Caserio went to college at John Carroll and the relationship likely played a big role in the decision.
Per his LinkedIn page (https://t.co/PnIuDIl8b6), former #Patriots scout DJ Debick (@DJDebick) is the new Assistant Director of Pro Scouting for the #Texans. Like Houston GM Nick Caserio, Debick has NE & @JCUFootball roots.

The Patriots have a lot of work to do this offseason to replace the many coaches and front office members that have went their separate ways.
